As a result of its high molecular weight, TMQ migrates slowly within the rubber martrix and does not bloom.

In industrial rubber products. CBS can be used with secondary accelerators, like as the TMTD to replace MBTS/DPG systems. CBS can also be used in EPDM and NBR compounding as the primary accelerator, giving good scorch delay and fast cure rates. CBS can be (in combination with CTP) used as an alternative for NOBS. it can avoid the problem caused by N-nitrosamines. And it also has the equal function on scorch safety and faster cure rate as NOBS.

Other Information
Store CBS in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area,avoiding exposure of the packaged product to direct sunlight. Double stacking of palletized material can result in unusually compacted product or broken granule. Do not store this product near insoluble sulfur as the amine vapors characteristically emitted from this material can cause insoluble sulfur to revert to rubber markers sulfur. Usually the shelf time is 12 months while the recommend use of date is 6 months.

Typical Properties:MBTS provides moderate processing safety and moderately fast cures with flat plateau. Compounds based on MBTS have slight better aging and reversion resistance than corresponding ones based on sulfonamides.

MBTS can be boosted by use if secondary accelerators to achieve a faster cure and a higher modulus.
