Applications
DEFOAMER can be diluted 5 to 7 times with water. This emulsion is then sprinkled on the bath. Dosage may be varies depending upon the service conditions. For best result use this emulsion (Half of the Quality of the Emulsion) before foaming starts. It will prevent foaming of the bath and volume of the reaction vessel will not increase.
Advantages of DEFOAMER Over Other Antifoaming

Prevents foaming if added before foaming starts.

Maintains volume of the reaction vessel.

It is missible with water so it can be easily pass through membrane filter of R.O. System. so it does not make film on the filter so life of the filter is increased. So it is most advisable to use DEFOAMER instead of octanol.

Testing Method of DEFOAMER
Make 5 time dilution of defoamer with water, take 100 ml cylinder add 50 ml of water into it and 5 to 6 drops of any wetting agent or soap solution. Make foam by mixing vigrously up and down 100 times add previously prepared diluted defoamer into it.
Evaluation : Foam should disappear within 7 seconds.
