Description:
Silicone rubber for mold making is white or red flowing liquid with general hardness of 22-50Aafter curing. Molding silicon rubber is a kind elastic silicon rubber mold which features with resistance to deformation, high-temperature, acid-alkali and expansion as well as high reproduction times, good tensile strength, tear strength and elongation.

Styrene-butadiene thermoplastic elastomer SBS has appearance of white or yellowish porous particles of rod or wafer shape. It posssesses the advantages or both rubber and plastic with excellent low temperature endurance,ventilating and wet-and-slipping, resistance. It is characterized by easy molding and coloring, simple processing, none vulcanization and low consumption or energy. The leftover bits and pieces can be recovered. It is widely used in shoes making, adhesives, waterproof materials, modification of higher polymer and road bitumen, cable and toys.

Higher polymer modification: It can blend with PE,PP and PS to modify their physical properties and widen their uses.
Adhesives: It can be used to produce all kinds of adhesive, especially hot-melt adhesive pressuresensitie, pressuresens-itive adhesive and solvent type adhesive. They have advantages of high adhesion, poisonlessness and none environmental pollution.
Shoes making: SBS can be used to make vary kinds of leather shoes, travelling shoes and childrens shoes. They have comfortableness excellent andti-slipping, ventilating, and easy coloring. Without vulcanization, SBS still has high strength, so the process of shoe-making becomes simple. Its leftover bits and pieces also can be recovered.
Bitumen modification: The low temperature flexing and anti-flowing property at high temperature of bitumen can be improved by adding 3% to 15%(wt%) SBS. Hardening, embrittling and cracking at low temperature of bitumen can be reduced due to improved flexing so as to extend the service life of road and rolling material. Softening and flowing of bitumen at high temperature can be improved after the anti-flowing property is enhanced.
As the best choice for prolonging the service life of road and rolling material effectively, SBS modified bitumen is very popular in the developed countries.

SEBS is of excellent aging resistance and used for highly elastic products, packing material (tool handles) polymer modification, adhesives, sealant, medical treatment equipment and fillers of wires and cables.

SEBS is of good temperature endurance with brittle temperature lower than -60 and highest service temperature at 149,Under oxygen surround. The decomposing point is higher than 270. SEBS has excellent aging resistance and the drop rate of its performance is less than 10% after being aged in the artificial aging accelerator for one week.

SEBS is also very good at electrical property Its dielectric loss is 1.310 at 1KHZ and 2.310 at 1MHZ; its volume resistance is 910-cm one
minute and 210-cm two minutes. SEBS has good solubility and co-mixing capacity with solubility between 7.27.6.

c. Operation Instructions for Manual Molding Silicone Rubber
RTV-2 Manual Molding Silicone Rubber is a flowable liquid, and the quality has nothing to do with the color. It consists of two component. Part A is a flowable liquid silicone rubber, part B is the curing agent. Firstly, after your previous work of dealing with the original model, take some liquid silicone rubber , add 2%-3% curing agent of the amount of silicon, and mix them evenly. Then after vacuum-pumping the mixture, you can pour it into the mold frame. The silicone mold will cured in 2-3 hours.
Note: The time for vacuum-pumping should be less than 35 mins , otherwise, once the silicone rubber has cross-link reaction during vacuuming, it will not be operated.
