We offer Cylindrical Grinding Machine.

Base: This is a high grade alloy cast iron body designed to make easy movement of table slide, by providing V - ways and flat ways duly hand scraped to fine tolerance to achieve highest accuracy.
Table: It is composed of two parts. The lower part is called "Slide" and upper part "Table". "TURCITE - B" is lined on table ways and as well as on slide ways. The slide moves on V and flat ways of bed provided for which ensure very smooth longitudinal table movement. The upper table can swiveled for external and internal grinding jobs. with fine setting arrangement.

Work head & Tailstock:

Both are detachable and adjustable when required. Work head alloy steel spindle has been made for revolving as well as stationery centers. The spindle is fitted with phosphorous bronze taper bushes inside the work head and can be swiveled up to 90 towards grinding wheel and 30 towards operator for taper and conical grinding. The drive to work head spindle is given by an electric motor through V-belts. The tailstock spindle runs in a honed bore and is spring loaded for quick release. Morse tapers are arranged for dead centers to be fitted in work head spindle and tailstock spindle noses.

Wheel head:

Designed to ensure maximum rigidity and smooth operation. The spindle is fitted with white metal taper bushes. The Grinding wheel is fitted on a taper nose mounted in wheel-flange, arranged to balance for vibration free operation. The drive is given by an electric motor through V-belts. Wheel head slide lining with anti-friction material "TURCITE - B"echanical.

We offer H169 cylindrical grinder which is suitable for grinding all kinds of thin-shafts, such as piston-rods, boring-rods, barrels, bars of plastic moulding-machines and screw-rods etc. in batch production.

Main Application and Features

Longitudinal traverse is executed by the wheelhead carriage, and the workpiece only has rotational movement. To meet the grinding requirements of this-shafts, the operation position is located right in front of wheelhead.

Carriage longitudinal traverse is carried out by D.C. motor with infinitely variable speed via gear and rack, or by handwheel.

Wheelhead cross-feed is provided with hyd. Rapid advance and withdrawal, auto intermittent feed and manual micro-feed.

Workpiece is driven by D.C. motor with infinitely variable speed.

Wheel spindle is supported by hydro-static-dynamic hybrid bearings, with wheel peripheral velocity 45m/s.

Carriage and wheelhead guides are lubricated by hydro-static pressure.
